Data Center Support Engineer III

1. Rack mounting, Commissioning/Decommission of IT hardware

2. Manage day to day operations using the DCIM tools & Preventive checks, Temp, Cooling, Safety / Security & maintenance and Hygiene

3. Work with GWS (facilities) to manage Electrical/UPS, HVAC and other Data Centre performance parameters are monitored and tracked

4. Plan and co-ordinate Maintenance / other support activities (UPS / electrical etc.)

5. Compile, maintain and share performance reports with various stakeholders, on regular intervals

6. Work on expansion / relocation plans and assist implementation team in relocation of DC to our new facility DC

7. Raritan Management/Administration (KVMMaster)

8. Netzoom Tool Management (DCIM Tool)

9. Environmental Tool Management/monitoring (Legacy IBIS/new Raritan)

10. Manage automated and real-time reporting dashboards for power/space usage at critical sites

Skills:

Certifications – CDCP, CDCS, other IT infra professional certifications

Data Centre – Passive infrastructure knowledge on Cooling / Containment, Electrical, Air purification, Firefighting

Proven understanding and experience of Data Centre Cabling and labeling standards

Proven understanding of Data Centre Best practices and TIA-942 / other standards

Awareness and working knowledge of DCIM tools

Expertise in Rack Mounting of Servers, Storage, Network equipment and other hardware

Participate in expansion / relocation plans

Flexibility to support (24*7) for Emergency / critical Maintenance / other activities (as and when required

Education:

B.Tech/BCA/MCA

Data Centre Operations experience of 5 - 10 years
